Recess is on

Capitalism swoon, the conundrum of boon
Spiraling downturn, hitting the bottom
Recess is on, never return too soon
But does socialism restore the boom?

Sand castles bleak, Wall Street bleat
G-Twenty gather wit to a summit
Address the weal of those hard-hit
But does the benefit soothe the weak?

Debt swell, credit balloon, so beware
Either tame the bull or ride the bear
Than about face, unwilling to dare
But does the difference merit care?

Tighten thy belt, dire strait ahead
Lock the wheels, lap the road instead
Stretch the dough, shun the ritzy show
Douse the fire, resist the faddy flow
